Thank you to all those residents who took the time to respond to my survey over Christmas of postcodes in Bromley affected by poor service by Royal Mail. Your feedback was vital in building a comprehensive picture of where Royal Mail are falling short in Bromley postcodes BR1, BR2 and BR7.
I know that many residents have seen a poor service for the past year from Royal Mail and I have been raising complaints with both them and OFCOM, the regulator of the Royal Mail.
Yesterday I met with Royal Mail operational managers for the Bromley area and presented them with the feedback from the survey. They acknowledged that things have not been as good as they should be locally and offered their apologies. I was informed that new management and recruitment of new staff has taken place, and they believe they are making progress, but acknowledge there is much more to do.
I have been clear with Royal Mail that the current situation is not acceptable and that we need to see some improvements in these postcodes letter delivery. I hope the changes they are making will bear fruit in the coming months.
Do keep me updated as I will continue to pursue this issue until residents see Royal Mail improving their service to you.
